Endometriosis
Endometriosis occurs when the tissue that lines the uterus begins to grow outside of the uterus. Usually caused by high levels of estrogen, Endometriosis can affect woman of many ages from their teens to well into their 40s. Severity of symptoms vary from light cramping to excessive bleeding. Since most women never experience any symptoms, Endometriosis is usually detected when a woman has difficulty conceiving.
After preliminary exams and ultrasounds to rule out other causes, Dr. Hleap will perform a laparoscopy to diagnose Endometriosis. Though there is no cure, Dr. Hleap offers many different treatments to help control any pain, bleeding and/or infertility issues related to Endometriosis.
